One of the most fertile myths of modern times, the Faustian deal with the devil has become a cultural icon.

The masterpiece by Goethe struck the fantasy of other artists and expecially composers so much, that in just a couple of decades several great musical works inspired by it were produced out of a wave of amazed enthusiasm.

In this talk we will ride that wave and get to know its fruits, music trying to express deep and troubling questions of us all as well as the mythical story born out of them.
