Very much famous for his gigantic works for orchestra, Gustav Mahler is way more than an ambitious symphonist.
Few composers had a sharper sense of the time they belonged to than him and expressed with such a surgical, idealistic realism (or even cynicism?) the sunset of an era as he did. Indeed there is no composer in the history of music that combines so powerfully the spirit of a romantic with the intellect of a modernist.

There is much to discover about this beloved and controversial artist. We will go for it until no mysteries are left!
